Sceptor Pain Foundation was founded in 2004 by Richard L. Rauck, MD as an independent nonprofit charitable organization that works with medical, research and clinical professionals who are dedicated to developing viable solutions for pain management.
Dr. Rauck has pioneered ground-breaking chronic pain research, published numerous related articles and serves on national and international boards including the Southern Pain Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the World Institute of Pain. He is currently working to create the Pain Society of the Carolinas to promote education throughout the region.
Sceptor is proud of its first five years and as 2010 arrives, so do new research and education projects and programs. Sceptor is advancing its mission as a medical research organization to improve the quality of pain care for families and, in particular, our United States Military personnel who serve to protect all of us from harm.
